A short blurb

30 years after King Robert Dormley inflicts his new law upon the Twin Continents, his purge of magic leaves the lands in turmoil and conflict. Since the many wars that followed, people have learned to forget and carry on with their lives, that is until Aldridge Aeden of the south starts to seek a new unity to overthrow the King.

Meanwhile, Kael Cavilo, a man born of a rare curse finds himself shrouded in his fathers well-kept secrets. His journey of discovery leads him into the bowels of the war, led by the visions of Fife, a descendant of a sorcerer who had the powers of foresight, who has gained his trust.

In a land where magic is condemned, Kael and Fife set off on an unlikely journey that would change the course of the Twin Continents. There will be death, blood and betrayal as the war for Eyrador stretches farther than the King himself to the dark lands in which a far more powerful entity resides.

More than a short blurb

The War For Eyrador isn’t just about war; it’s about discovery, lore, magic, ancient beings, history, politics, friendship, love, family and betrayal.

It’s hard to write a blurb for this book, it really is, because there are a lot of stories that go alongside the main arch. Also, the main arch changes as the story develops, so at one moment you think its about one thing, and then all of a sudden you’re thrown into a deeper world.

Kael Cavilo is technically the main character of my story, but he is still a pawn in a much larger game. It isn’t just his story, its the story of everyone around him.

  • It’s also about Fife, the girl with the gift of foresight, and her need to fulfil the Aadeya’s wishes.
  • It’s about Farley Holt, who has travelled far and wide to serve Aldridge Aeden, but he just wants to see his family again.
  • It’s about the King who wants to maintain his control of the north, not for his own sake.
  • It’s about the people of Casgaard who have been living in the northern mountains forming an alliance to stop the King.
  • It’s about Euris Tilly, the Captain of the Guard, who’s tasked with tracking down forbidden sorcery.
  • It’s about Lord David, the Hand of the King, who see’s weakness in his King…

And so much more…

In the second half of the book you’ll be introduced to the larger world which would involve El Gurrah, Hyre and the Islands of Moreveil where you will meet new characters with their own intentions. Can you see the scope yet? Can you see why its taking me so long to finish this damn book?

You can read more about the history of this world in my short prelude called The King’s War.
