From “The Galathareon: Reborn in Fire” to “Of Blood & Memory” to “untitled” – it’s been a long journey, but I am nowhere near finished (sorry to disappoint those eager readers). As of writing this I have only completed 7 chapters out of a planned 30. However, all of my maps are finished, and some of my chapter illustrations are too, but I still feel like I am years away from completing the book. The structure is in place it just needs to be filled with juice.

In the last few weeks I have not been writing as much as I’d hoped, sadly someone close to me died (05.10.24) and my mind has been focusing on other things. I managed to get a few pages done last weekend, they were good pages as well – sometimes time and experience helps me write.

Sometimes I go and read other books, it helps me jog some ideas that may be lodged in limbo. I tend to get stuck in limbo quite a bit.

Besides completing the actual manuscript I also need to figure out what my book is called. When it was a trilogy of books they were collectively named The Galatheron with then each book in the series named in order: Reborn in Fire (1), The Cult of Elgor (2), and The Lady in White (3). Now that I have condensed the story, it is likely to be one book. Since then I have chosen the collective name The Tales Of Eyrador (instead of The Galathareon) just incase I choose to write something else in my world. I really wanted the book to be called Of Blood & Memory, but the title was already taken. I have some other ideas floating around, but nothing has caught my attention; I could go back to my roots and name it Reborn in Fire, but that title only applied to the first book and not the whole story – it’ll keep me thinking.

Other than that I also need to do some illustrations and marketing work.

Update: 7/30 chapters
